Gadget show live 2011 summary
This years Gadget Show was amazing! There was so much great tech to look at and try. Many of the well known companies such as AMD, Panasonic, and LG were at the exhibition showing off their latest technologies and gadgets. As well as many smaller companies trying to make their mark in the extensive world of gadgets and technology.
The Nintendo 3DS was also on display in the game zone area. After a short tour of the consoles main features we were allowed to play around with some of the games and the AR (augmented reality) functions of the 3DS. Some games looked good and were easy to set to your eyes on the glasses-less 3D screen, but others where hard to adjust and looked slightly out of place unless you turned the 3D function off.
3D gaming seemed to be more of the focus in the 3D market this year at the show. We did notice many of the computer system had nVidia's active shutter 3D glasses attached to them.
While on the subject of gaming, Razer were demonstrating their new hydra game controller with the Portal 2 DLC. This controller was very accurate in all of its 6 axises, which uses a tracking technology utilizing magnetic fields developed by sixsense.
All in all there was lots of great tech on show, and we should have some news and reviews coming out soon!
